Željko Musa is a well-known handball player for the PPD Zagreb handball team and the Croatian national handball team. This 36-year-old was born in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He began his career in 2006 at the Medveščak Handball Club as a round forward. After that, he switched teams a few times before joining SC Magdeburg in 2015, where he amassed 74 goals. He has been a member of the PPD Zagreb handball team since 2021. His greatest successes were with the Croatian national handball team. He received a silver medal at the 2010 European Championship in Austria and a bronze medal at the 2012 European Championship in Serbia.

He and the Croatian handball team won a silver medal at the 2020 European Handball Championship in Austria, Norway, and Sweden. He scored the winning goal in the decisive semi-final game to advance the Croatian handball team to the European Handball Championship finals. He claims that in the final ten seconds of the crucial game, he told himself to run because something was going to happen. As it turned out, the goal that advanced the Croatian handball team to the European Handball Championship final did occur. Željko Musa is happily married and the father of two children in his personal life.
